I was lucky enough to know Janet (and Mike) as my Mum, Phyllis, along with Maureen and June, we’re lifelong friends. One of my favourite memories was meeting up with Janet and Mike while I was working in Sydney, Australia, in Darling Harbour. It was such a treat to meet up and spend some time on the other side of the world and it was there they gave me my nickname which stuck of Darling Harbour Darling (DHD)! They were both terrific company and there was always much laughter when we all got together. The first photo refers to a birthday celebration for my Mum in 2012 and the other two photos refer to an afternoon in 2016 I managed to get in on at my Mum’s, full of laughter and high jinks and one that I will always treasure. So, Janet, it is with much love from your DHD, that I thank you for all the fun and laughter and to say I will miss you. Paula Street.

Janet & Mike were great friends of my parents, Steve & Rosemary Caine, both sadly gone, but I have many happy memories of our meetings, also of Mikes bright green car which we used to ride in to go riding at Major Farrs up on the moors. I have always kept up with them and am very saddened Janet has left us, the last of Mum and Dads dear friends. God Bless Jacqueline Langton
